Major stamp price increases will cause problems for on line traders

Stamp prices are due to rise by a considerable amount in April, and in addition VAT will be payable for the first time in 2012.  We are expecting a 20 percent increase across the board in first class postage costs which will make it hard for some sellers to remain competitive.  Particularly those who are not yet VAT registered and cannot claim back the tax!
Fortunately Rapid Resolutions Ltd have been preparing for this event and will be absorbing these additional postage costs, meaning our customers will not see any price increases for atleast the first 6 to 9 months of the new period. 
"We may have to look at ways of reducing shipping charges by modifying our packaging inorder to post more parcels in the large letter category.  These increases may also mean that we send more orders with our next day courier!", said Darren Merry.  "There are more delivery options available these days and Royal Mail could lose their edge if they increase their price structure too much.", he added.
